I'm New Here

We're glad that you have stopped by to learn what we're all about.  We hope you see our passion for Jesus and His gospel.  He is the only reason that we do what we do - preaching, teaching, children's and youth's ministry, outreach, singing and praise and much more!

Here are some general faq's

What time are your services and how long do they last?

We have Sunday School groups starting at 9:00 a.m. and Worship service that starts at 10:00 a.m.each Sunday. The worship service is a blended service with traditional and comtemporary music which includes instrumentalist, live band and praise team.  The services typically last about an hour and a half.(give or take a few minutes).

What should I wear?

Come as you are!  At North Park Baptist Church, you will see anything from very casual to somewhat dressy. What you wear isn't important to us, we are just delighted that you have joined us!

What kinds of things do you do in your services?

We usually start off with a couple of songs followed by a time of welcoming one another.  Then we have announcements, prayer and a time of offering to give back to the Lord that has given so much to us.  After that we sing several more songs. Following that is the message that God has given to our pastor to speak and then a time of personal invitation.  We always close in a song of praise!

Do you have anything for kids?

We sure do! On Sunday mornings we have Sunday school at 9:00 am for children of all ages.  During the service we offer a nursery for infants to 3 years of age along with children's church.  The children ages 4 to grade 5th begin in the service and then have a slide in the powerpoint that prompts them when it's time to go to children's church (shortly before the sermon starts).  On Wednesday nights, for children ages 3 - grade 6 we offer Kingdom Kids, where the children get together and work on songs, have a bible story and have some fun activities.  For the youth, ages grade 7 though grade 12, we have "Youth 180°" where the youth come together and have games and bible study. There are many other activities that are planned periodically through the year for the children and the youth.

How big is the church?

Typically we run about 100 in the worship service.

What other times do the adults meet?

On Sunday mornings we offer Sunday School for all ages begining at 9:00 am.    We also have Bible study on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm.

What are you doing to make a difference in the community?

North Park Baptist Church is very mission minded so each year we take a church wide mission trip to help provide construciton and ministry needs for other churches.  We have hosted a block party in Rothwell park in the summer where we offer free food, live entertainment, children's games, car show, fireworks show and many other things to make a fun filled evening for families.  In the fall we have done "Eternity House" which is one of our greatest evangelical efforts, where groups from other churches and the community are led through a series of seven dramatic scenes that depict the lives of teenagers and their families and friends to demonstrate how the choices they make now affect how they will spend eternity. We have hosted a community Easter service were we leave our campus and host it in a larger community location (eg. Moberly Municiple Auditorium or Moberly High School).

Can I get a ride?

North Park provides bus service upon request.  Call the church office at 660-263-1003 to schedule a pickup.
